Visual Artist
Lucy Tarmey is a multidisciplinary artist based in Dublin, she is a recent graduate with BA in Fine Art from the National College of Art and Design. Her practice utilizes painting and crochet to explore the fragility of domestic stability. Reflecting on personal and collective experiences of displacement and belonging.
Awarded the 2026 Wickow County Council Artist Award and Richmond Road Graduate Studio Award 2026. Recent exhibitions include; A Theatre of Sediment and Strings, Luckys (2026), Hearth: Main St, Wexford (2025), Art Riddler: Charlemont St, Dublin (2025), A Dream Halved: Temple Bar Medical Centre (2025), NCAD Graduate Exhibition (2025), I Lár Bháire: A4 Sounds (2024) and Towards Resolution: RHA (2023) after she completed a residency at the RHA.
Her work is held in private collections in Dublin, Trinity College, Galway and Wicklow she continues to develop her work through solo inquiry and collaborative projects. Working as part of Kitchen Sink Collective, deepening their collective thought and expanding their visual langauge. She is developing her practice with curiosity and consistency. An avid researcher she continues to deepen her knowledge and understanding of a broad range of topics.
